Updated: Feb 3, 2022
Last January 24th the City of Clarksville had the honor of receiving a poem written by retired Command Sgt. Maj. Jose Luis L. Silva-Diaz as a token of appreciation for the great strides the City is making in the Clarksville Hispanic community.

With the help of the Clarksville Hispanic American Family Foundation (C.H.A.F.F), Silva-Diaz displayed the poem on a beautiful image of Clarkville, crafted by Sophia A. Eisenbart.
Silva-Diaz retired from the military after 26 years of service and currently works at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
He is a published author and is considered a new and dynamic exponent of Puerto Rican folkloric poetry.

Thank You
Thank you, Jose, for your beautiful words to the City. And thank you, Sophia and C.H.A.F.F. for your support.
